STEPHANIE OPOKU

Stephanie wants to become a BMP mentor because she enjoys participating in, and contributing to the Beedie community. This role would be an amazing opportunity for her to guide younger students using her own experiences, and she is eager to use her advice to help her mentees grow, become more confident, and make the most out of their experience at Beedie. She is also excited to develop stronger leadership skills to strengthen her sense of responsibility, accountability, and empathy. Additionally, as a past mentee, she found the program to have such a vibrant, welcoming community. Not only did she learn from her mentor and fellow mentee, she learned from other mentees and mentors- as well as members of BASS. Her desire is to be a part of that community once more and meet more people, because there is always more one can learn.
