RISHAAN PARMAR
Rishaan is interested in becoming a BASS Mentorship Program mentor because he wants to give back to the Beedie community by supporting students who are just beginning their academic and professional journeys. When he first joined SFU, he faced uncertainty navigating course selections, involvement opportunities, and career planning. Having a mentor would have made a meaningful difference—and he wants to be that resource for someone else. Through this program, he hopes to build meaningful relationships and sharpen his leadership and communication skills by guiding others through challenges he’s personally experienced. Mentorship is a two-way street, and he looks forward to learning from his mentees’ fresh perspectives while strengthening his ability to listen, empathize, and coach effectively. Ultimately, he wants to help create a supportive environment where students feel confident and equipped to reach their goals.
