Kylie was a BMP mentee in her first year, and her mentor had a significant positive impact on her undergraduate outlook. She was rejected from multiple clubs in her first semester. However, her mentor emphasized the importance of perseverance and provided her with advice for interviews. Getting into her first club sparked her passion for community involvement, which continued for the next two years. As a mentor, she wants to give back and help first-years make the most out of their university experience because ultimately, one will only get as much as one puts in, and she acknowledges that it is a difficult path to navigate with no support.
