Evan is interested in becoming a BASS Mentorship Program mentor because he thinks it’s a great way to give back. He remembers how overwhelmed he felt going into his first year so he is hoping that he can ease some of that stress for others. He thinks that new students having someone to talk to, who has already gone through it already, and has so much experience within SFU would make such a huge difference. He can see this as a way to grow himself as well because he feels like guiding others will help him to become a better communicator, listener and leader. He’s excited for the chance to build connections with both his mentees and BASS members too.
