As someone who wishes she was more involved and made different choices in her first year in Beedie, Emily strives to help incoming students transition better into university life. It took her a while before she really started enjoying her time at Beedie due to her lack of involvement, because of this, she really hopes to steer her mentees in the right direction and help them with their first year. Through being a mentor, she hopes to gain more leadership skills and being able to understand others better. She wants to learn to meet her mentees where they are, if they need more of a push then she will do her best in encouraging them.
