BRENDAN SOO

Brendan wants to become a mentor to give back to the Beedie community that has supported him throughout his journey. When he transitioned from Health Sciences to Beedie, the guidance and encouragement he received from mentors played a key role in helping him navigate his first semester and feel a sense of belonging. That experience left a lasting impression and inspired him to create the same welcoming and supportive environment for incoming students. As a fifth-year student who has been involved in many leadership roles on campus, he brings experience in mentorship, event planning, and fostering community engagement. He wants to contribute by sharing his insights on academic success, involvements in student organizations, and global opportunities like exchange programs. Through this program, he hopes to strengthen his mentorship and leadership skills, develop deeper connections within the Beedie community, and empower first-year students to embrace their university experience with confidence.
